We currently have an opening for a Tool Maker on second shift in our Lake Forest, CA location.

2:00pm -10:30pm
PAY
$35-$42/ HOUR - based on experience
SUMMARY
The Tool and Die/Mold Maker is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and making tooling components for die cast molds, trim dies, and other tooling parts for production lines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Repair/debug/troubleshoots molds and dies by reading production parts.
-Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to fabricate tooling components.
-Ability to work with tight machining tolerances applicable while maintaining high quality and productivity.
-Experience with bench work such as air grinding tools and polishing are a must.
-Responsible for all phases of mold repair, core pin fabrication, and or as well as fixtures and trim dies.
-Responsible for following all safety procedures/regulations and keeping immediate work area clean.
-Assists in prioritizing repairs to ensure maximum production capabilities.
-Operates standard tool room equipment such as manual lathes, surface grinders, milling machines, etc.
-CNC and EDM knowledge would be a plus.
-Other duties as assigned.
-Knowledge of TS and ISO 14001
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; minimum three years related toolroom and machinery experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be familiar with precision measuring tools and knowledge reading and interpreting read blueprints.
