We’re hiring an SWPPP Project Coordinator/Estimator to work based from our Houston, TX, office. In this role, you’ll oversee the implementation of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) on construction projects and manage the estimation of costs for various construction-related activities. Responsibilities
As SWPPP Project Coordinator/Estimator at Ensolum, your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, and they will typically include:
SWPPP Project Coordination
- Overseeing and ensuring the development and implementation of SWPPP for construction projects.
- Conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Coordinating with project managers, construction teams, and environmental consultants to maintain compliance with environmental laws.
- Monitoring and maintaining proper documentation and reporting for SWPPP, ensuring all paperwork is up to date and in compliance with regulations.
- Reviewing and evaluating site conditions, providing guidance on necessary best management practices (BMPs) for stormwater control.
- Ensuring erosion control measures are implemented and maintained throughout the course of a project.
Project Estimation
- Preparing accurate and detailed project cost estimates for construction projects, focusing on stormwater management, erosion control, and related environmental services.
- Evaluating project plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine scope of work and required materials.
- Serving as company liaison with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain quotes and materials pricing.
- Reviewing costs and working closely with project managers to ensure projects remain on budget.
- Preparing and submitting budget proposals, including detailed cost breakdowns for stormwater management systems, BMPs, and other environmental control measures.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assisting in the preparation of project schedules, including timelines for SWPPP implementation.
- Assisting in progress billing as needed.
- Providing technical support and guidance to field staff regarding environmental compliance and stormwater management.
- Tracking and reporting project progress, including budget status, work completion, and compliance with environmental guidelines.
- Working closely with regulatory agencies to ensure timely submission of required documents and reports.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction, environmental management, or a related field, with at least 1-2 years focused on SWPPP coordination and/or project estimation.
Certifications: SWPPP certification (such as CPESC, or similar) preferred. OSHA certification a plus.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of SWPPP, stormwater management, erosion control practices, and environmental regulations.
- Proficiency in estimating software, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Other:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Legally able to work as a full-time employee in the United States.
- Able to pass drug and alcohol screening and potential background and driving screening.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to conduct site visits in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Compensation:
$25.00/HR Full Time plus benefits and potential for bonuses.
