This pivotal role requires a robust combination of both business acumen and technical expertise, particularly in HIPAA X12 EDI Transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement test scripts for X12 transmissions.
- Conduct quality assurance and testing for EDI applications.
- Provide ongoing technical support during and post-implementation of healthcare electronic data interchange applications.
- Manage a catalog of various EDI document types, including 837, 277CA, 834, 835, TA1, 999, 820, and NCPDP D.0.
- Facilitate efficient communication between trading partners and the department.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and process flows for all EDI operations.
- Oversee and monitor inbound and outbound X12 transactions.
- Assist the Customer Service team with EDI-related challenges.
- Identify, propose, and implement enhancements to the EDI system processes.
- Analyze EDI transactions while ensuring meticulous documentation and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with EDI partners to resolve any transmission issues.
- Monitor daily EDI and batch processes to swiftly address emerging problems while reporting key metrics to senior management.
- Communicate effectively with both internal business units and external vendors, ensuring clarity in addressing EDI needs.
- Develop and maintain cross-walking and validation guidelines for file exchanges.
- Monitor incoming EDI issues for timely triaging.
- Extensive knowledge of HIPAA X12 EDI Transactions.
- Proficiency in EDI mapping for various transaction sets.
- Strong capability to develop and execute test scripts for X12 transmissions.
- Excellent communication skills, bridging technical and business perspectives.
- Experience in troubleshooting processing errors related to EDI transactions.
- Familiarity with Agile Methodology.
- Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently and with minimal supervision.
- Significant practical experience in EDI transactions and testing.
- Proven experience in establishing user and trading partner relationships.
- Strong analytical skills to navigate and resolve complexities.
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
