As an In Home Caregiver at FirstLight Home Care, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate support to seniors and individuals with disabilities. This position is essential to our mission of providing exceptional care and enhancing the quality of life for those we serve.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to clients including assistance with daily living activities.
- Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs.
- Assist clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Observe and report changes in client health status to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of clients while respecting their rights and dignity.
- Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental well-being.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for clients.
Qualifications
- Experience in senior care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
- Ability to perform lifting as needed for client mobility support.
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques that cater to dietary needs.
- Excellent observational skills to monitor client health and well-being effectively.
