Key Responsibilities
- Manage communications including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and directing visitors to appropriate personnel.
- Provide comprehensive support to faculty by coordinating travel, meetings, and events, while also preparing and submitting expense reports.
- Act as a recording secretary during meetings, ensuring accurate documentation and distribution of meeting minutes.
- Conduct research, compile information, and assist with the creation of reports and departmental newsletters.
- Oversee office management tasks such as maintaining calendars for department staff and managing office supply inventory.
- Utilize office software for various functions including database management, scheduling, budgeting, and curriculum records.
- Assist students by connecting them with the appropriate faculty or staff to address their needs.
- Strong interpersonal, public relations, and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse groups.
- Proficient in standard office equipment and software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
- Capable of managing confidential information with utmost discretion and professionalism.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate challenging situations in a timely manner.
- High School Diploma and a minimum of 3 years of experience in office administration.
- Preferred qualifications include prior experience in higher education and familiarity with BANNER and Oredigger Web software.
- An Associate Degree or higher is also preferred.
