Great Northwest Excavation is a family-operated site development company seeking an individual who will thrive in a tight-knit office environment. Collaboration, open communication, and integrity are essential for the success of our employees, vendors, and customers. We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in Customer relations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely processing of invoices and statements. This position requires strong attention to detail and proficiency in various accounting software, making it essential for the smooth operation of our financial services.
Schedule: Full Time
Monday - Friday from 8am to 4pm
(Days and hours are flexible)
Job Responsibilities:
- Understand work orders to process for invoicing
- Process Customer statements
- Create Customer estimates and process contracts
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling Customer accounts.
- Understands compliance around Accounts Receivable (W-9, sales tax, sub-contracts, etc.)
- Filing
- Conduct data entry tasks with precision to support financial reporting.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding outstanding invoices and payment inquiries.
- Utilize software such as Quickbooks, SupplyPro, and Builders Source for managing accounts and generating reports.
- Handle phone and email inquiries with professionalism and excellent etiquette.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements related to accounts receivable.
- Support the finance team with additional tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be 18 years old or older.
- Applicants must have a valid driver's license.
Benefits:
- PTO starts accruing on the first day of employment and is available for use after 90 days.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance is available after 60 days, and only to full-time employees. GNW will pay for the employee's medical only; dental, vision, and any dependent insurance will be employee's responsibility
- 401K is available after one year, GNW will match up to 4%.
Experience
- Previous experience in accounts receivable or a similar financial role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
- Familiarity with Quick Books, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
