Gulf Coast Social Services is currently seeking an experienced Receptionist for the Houma Regional Office.
The Receptionist will greet clients and employees entering the Houma Regional Office, answer phones, screen calls, and take messages. Ensures the confidentiality of all personnel, financial, and consumer information. Provides clerical support including, but not limited to typing, filing, data entry, copying, etc. Sorts and distributes faxes to appropriate staff. Completes all accounts payables assigned by Office Manager. Maintains office equipment and office supplies. Orders special request from staff at direction of Office Manager. Assists Office Manager\Regional Director with event planning and maintenance issues. Assists Office Manager\Regional Director with special projects, as assigned. Keep lobby, copy room and storage rooms organized, clean and safe at all times. Regular, punctual attendance is required.
The position requires a High School Diploma and a minimum of one (1) year clerical experience. Good verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills, and excellent phone etiquette. Proficient in Microsoft Office 265(Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Teams). Proven ability in the use of automated office equipment and knowledge of word processing, and other computer software programs. Ability to organize and prioritize work, multi-task, and to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and able to work collectively with the administrative team. Strong Organizational Skills.
A valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle in safe operating condition with a current inspection sticker, and current liability insurance. EOE'
