In 1991, HM-181 was introduced. This regulation was intended to align domestic hazardous material packaging with the United Nations model. It also required that companies rethink their approach to hazmat shipping – which is where Hazmatpac came in.

For 30 years, Hazmatpac has done nothing but hazmat packaging. Throughout, we have seen steady growth. Our customers get it: if you needed heart surgery, you wouldn’t call your family doctor, you’d call the heart surgeon. In the same way, when you’re shipping something as dangerous as hazardous material, you need a specialist.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively contact customers by telephone to sell company products and services
  • Interact with customers to develop and encourage both repeat and new business
  • Assist customers in selection of products and services most applicable to customer needs with focus on cross-selling and up-selling opportunities
  • Develop business in new territories and within new industries where the full market potential and product line acceptance has not yet been established
  • Accurately process accepted orders and provide necessary follow ups for customer orders and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Access, update, and maintain customer database and records for individual accounts.
  • Prepare price quotations, terms of sales, establish delivery dates and service obligations according to established company guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years Inside Sales experience in Packaging or Distribution industry
  • Bachelor’s degree; preferred
  • Customer focused mindset
  • Detail oriented with strong organization, communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal and listening skills. Demonstrated ability to embrace and adapt to change.
  • Effective time management skills with proven ability in handling multiple priorities
  • and details in a fast- paced environment
  • Good work record; Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work effectively in teams; demonstrated ability to assimilate information quickly and a deep desire to learn and succeed.
  • Ability to maintain positive attitude and professional image
