Role Description
This full-time Administrative Assistant position requires the candidate to work on-site at HMB Optometry Family Eye Care located in Half Moon Bay, CA. As the Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. You will handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, greet visitors, maintain patient records, perform prescreen testing for patients, data entry, maintain a clean office and exam rooms, and restock office and doctor's supplies. You will also be trained for other technical tasks at the clinic. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, warm, outgoing, highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Google Sheets and Docs
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to remain calm, collected, and patient during a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Friendly, customer service-oriented attitude
- Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus
- Spanish speaking a plus
- Must be able to work Tuesday evenings and Saturdays
