About the Role
The Lead Analyst of Value-Based Care is a key role within the central analytics team. This critical role will deliver insights for multiple teams including medical economics, population health, finance, & operations. The role will be instrumental in helping Hopscotch drive truly best in class results.
In the first 12 months, this role will require a balance of driving critical insights through ad hoc analysis, building reports/visualizations, and contributing to key data & analytical models for the organization. All activities will be focused on driving success in a value-based care company that is on a mission to change healthcare for Medicare members in rural America.

What You'll Do
- Partner with Medical Economics & Population Health teams to identify and quantify areas of opportunity, frame reporting frameworks, and develop standard reporting packages for key performance indicators aimed at healthcare cost containment and optimization efforts
- Design and execute analyses that inform a deeper understanding of the Hopscotch patient base and subgroups
- Support care model initiative tracking, savings and ROI estimates, and KPI dashboards
- Coordinate with appropriate groups to troubleshoot issues and uncover improvement opportunities
- Partner with Population Health team, leveraging patient and medical expense analysis, to help shape and test hypotheses for delivering improved patient outcomes
- Collaborate effectively across stakeholders from different Hopscotch teams, earning the trust of key business partners
- Utilize Python, Palantir Foundry, Excel, Power BI, and other tools to define, extract, validate, shape, and interpret data to meet business needs. Accountable for accuracy of work product
- Review monthly payer claim, eligibility, and revenue data
- Must be able to travel to other company sites or business functions, as needed

About You
- BA/BS in Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Epidemiology, Mathematics, Operations Research, or other quantitative discipline preferred
- 5 years of experience in healthcare analytics, with substantial expertise in value-based care models, risk adjustment methodologies, and population health analytics
- Proven track record of leading analytical projects that have directly influenced business decisions in healthcare organizations
- Deep knowledge of healthcare payment models, especially Medicare Advantage, ACOs, and other risk-bearing arrangements
- Advanced proficiency in analytical techniques including statistical analysis, data modeling, and performance measurement in healthcare
- Technical expertise in programming languages (Python, R), SQL, healthcare data structures, and analytics platforms
- Strong understanding of healthcare economics, clinical quality measurement, and the relationship between financial and clinical performance
- Significant experience working with healthcare data and value-based payment methodologies
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex analyses into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to apply innovative analytical approaches to solve complex healthcare challenges
