RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential –
- Monitor activities in the recreation & wellness areas of the student union building.
- Manage electronic & printed distribution of ID cards for students, faculty & staff.
- Facilitate Student Health Voucher System
- Distribute Student Parking Credentials for Non-Housing Students
- Enforce rules in the wellness/recreation area.
- Supervise student staff in Recreation/Wellness/ID Center in Supervisor’s absence.
- Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.
- Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.
Secondary –
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor of Recreation/Wellness & ID Center and the Exec Director of Student Affairs and Campus Safety.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent computer skills required, with knowledge in Microsoft Word and E-mail.
- The ability to accept supervision/instruction, and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, faculty and the public.
- Physical requirements include the ability to operate office equipment; excellent communication skills; the ability to lift up to 15 pounds; excellent verbal, written and listening skills; sit or stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone, to enter data into a computer, and to operate additional office equipment; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; use appropriate judgment and to apply tact and courtesy in difficult situations; understand words and respond effectively and appropriately; attentive to detail, accurately follow written and verbal instructions; work independently; sedentary/indoor work environment with a substantial amount of keyboarding required.

WAGE and STATUS:
The hourly rate of pay is commensurate with qualifications as determined by HutchCC administration. This part-time support staff position is 12 months annual and nonexempt. This position is not eligible for the HutchCC fringe benefit package due to the part-time status and is nonexempt/at-will. This position is located at the Hutchinson Community College Main Campus.
