What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Clerk position at Indiana Marine Products?
Indiana Marine Products (IMP) is a premier manufacturer of dash assemblies and wiring harnesses primarily supporting OEM boat manufacturers. Our people, processes, and systems are designed to assist our customers in developing creative, functional and aesthetically pleasing products and ensuring that the products are of highest quality and delivered to support the most efficient manufacturing processes for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate MRP and related reports to determine purchasing requirements.
- Place orders with suppliers and follow up on acknowledgements, including updating all records accordingly.
- Assist in data entry of inventory transactions as needed to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
- Conduct detail reviews of inventory items for obsolescence and changes to purchasing codes.
- Present discrepancies to responsible parties and drive the development of correction actions.
- Work with multiple departments to enforce and ensure excellent Quality & Delivery.
- Maintain wire farm for inventory.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience in Macola is a plus.
- Knowledge of materials management and inventory control
- Familiarity with supply chain management and logistics
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
