Job Title: Annual Fund and Events Manager
Supervisor: Director of Development
Full-time, exempt – On-site 5 days/week. Ability to work weekend and evening events.
Salary Range: 46,750 - $55,000 - $63,250

Brief Summary of the Position:
The Annual Fund and Events Manager works closely with the Director of Development to create and implement fundraising strategies that align with the organization’s mission and promote financial growth. This role requires strong organizational, project management, and communication skills. The Senior Development Associate will manage and execute fundraising initiatives and events that support revenue objectives and effectively engage and cultivate donor relationships.
Essential Functions:
55% Event Supervision: Oversee and carry out special fundraising events, which include the Annual Appeal, Giving Tuesday, the Hot Night for Autism Gala, the annual golf tournament, and various small events, receptions, and gatherings. This role involves managing all aspects of each fundraising initiative, including logistics, registration, volunteers, and event implementation. Additionally, initiate and manage third-party and supplementary corporate events throughout the year.
40% Donor Engagement and Communications: Develop and manage donor engagement, development, and communication strategies related to fundraising initiatives. Manage the implementation of a multi-channel solicitation plan targeting donors and prospects across all giving levels, including digital, mail, print, and online communications. Cultivate relationships with donors, board members, staff, and community leaders capable of making meaningful annual gifts with a primary emphasis on retaining existing donors and acquiring new donors.
Create compelling communications to engage all stakeholders for fundraisers and events, including event programs and scripts. Research, identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and prospects while maintaining accurate and timely records of interactions in our database. Manage events, individual and corporate giving, and online fundraising efforts. Attend networking and marketing-related events to support and promote our organization.

Required Education/Certifications/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 4 years of nonprofit development experience. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members. Creative thinker. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Able to work independently and effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Skillful at stewarding relationships while being diplomatic, flexible, and positive. Ability to work weekend and evening events.
Additional Required Skills:
Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and familiarity with donor management software.
Preferred Education/Certifications/Experience:
Knowledge of fundraising practices. Experience maintaining and utilizing Donor Perfect software is helpful.
