We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Accounting Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our finance team and clients, providing expert knowledge in accounting and financial management. Responsibilities

• Reconcile all financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Handle all aspects of invoicing, ensuring that all bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform bookkeeping duties including posting information to accounting journals or accounting software from invoices to customers, cash receipts, and supplier invoices.
• Manage accounts payable (AP) and ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the ledger.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain and reconcile ledger accounts.
• Assist with year-end close processes and reconciliations.
• Utilize QuickBooks to manage financial transactions, create financial reports, and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
• Prepare accurate quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and systems.
  
  

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills, along with the ability to create and present detailed reports.
• Ability to reconcile accounts, records, invoices and discrepant payments.
• Demonstrated experience with ledger and journal entries.
• Proven experience in managing year-end close processes and reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of the energy industry is a plus.
