The Information Technology Technician provides technical support of specialized applications to County employees. Responsibilities may include evaluating, installation, repair and maintenance of computer hardware and applications, assisting with program diagnosis and resolution, collecting data and submitting service requests. The role involves offering primary support to County staff. The ideal candidate should possess strong attention to detail and a willingness to deepen their knowledge while resolving issues promptly.Effective January 1, 2025, the salary range will be $58,340 - $81,611.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Installs, evaluates, configures, tests, programs, and maintains on- and off-site technology software, hardware, file servers, networks, and peripheral devices to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and standards.Troubleshoots and documents technical and network problems related to computers, technological equipment, software, and/or related equipment to ensure proper functioning.Provides technical support and/or training related to specialized applications for County employees.Performs operations, such as scanning, cleaning, imaging, reformatting, and debugging, on County on- and off-site equipment and systems, to ensure system security and prevent cyber threats, viruses, and malware.Collaborates with manufacturers and vendors to resolve technical and network issues, and repair and maintain technological equipment and systems.Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
