Lesman Instrument Company (A Kele Company), a nationwide provider of process control valves, industrial instrumentation and analytical instrumentation, is in search of a Customer Service Representative who will work as part of a team to proactively meet our customers’ expectations by delivering exceptional customer service while assisting them in choosing the correct product, specifying process instrumentation, valves and hygienic equipment.

- Provide quotes, order entry, order follow up, product and application information and other requests as required by the customer
- Accurately enter and acknowledge orders placed via phone, fax, mail, and e-mail
- Build item cards in the company’s ERP system to include navigating the manufacturer’s price books and literature in order to create and input a model number, minimum description, pricing, vendor, product class code and lead time information
- Negotiate pricing in order to facilitate sales and/or increase profit margins
- Support outside sales and technical sales support teams as needed through product selection support, quoting, estimating and order creation for medium and large-scope projects
- Answer inbound sales calls and emails
- Place outgoing phone calls to customers to obtain required information to complete the sale of a previously ordered product or service
- Proactively problem solve for customers who have experienced an error with their order and follow up with same to ensure customer satisfaction
- Resolve customer concerns pertaining to products and services
- Assist customers with use and navigation of the company’s website and catalog
- Handle literature requests for pricing, data sheets and other requested information
- Monitor and release web orders as required
- Retrieve and accurately enter orders received via customer’s electronic PO portal, acknowledging as necessary
- Develop a thorough knowledge of products in the company catalog and other products our vendors offer
- Participate in training opportunities and self-study to increase product and industry knowledge and improve personal performance
Preferred Qualifications
- Two to four years of undergraduate work, associate’s degree, or applicable certification
- Minimum of one year of related work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to learn and use company software
- General working knowledge of the industiral process marketplace and industrial process
