Job Description
Knighthead Life is looking for a dynamic and thoughtful candidate to join the insurance team as a New Business Case Manager. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the development, launch and growth of an insurance carrier with the backing of a seasoned insurance management team and the resources of a successful offshore sister company. The New Business Case Manager serve as the first point of contact for Knighthead Life’s Financial Professionals. This role is responsible for reviewing annuity new business applications, responding to inbound call/emails, and addressing inquiries and concerns. They will also significantly contribute to developing and enhancing processes and procedures and quality assurance oversight initiatives
The role will interact regularly with other functional areas across the company, including, legal, finance, sales and marketing. It will provide daily exposure to members of senior management and a unique line of sight to all aspects of the annuity business. Candidates should have interest in insurance and a basic understanding of annuity products.
Responsibilities
- Follow the New Business Guidelines to ensure proper status and requirements are used throughout the case management process.
- Review electronic and paper documents for completeness, adherence to state regulations and to determine suitability.
- Track all pending cases and communicate with advisors to confirm requirements.
- Enter data into appropriate administrative system.
- Track all pending 1035 exchanges to ensure timely receipt of funds.
- Handle initial payments, issue contracts, prepare delivery requirements, and process necessary transactions.
- Perform file management including maintaining all paperwork electronically in administrative systems and advisor/client portals.
- Proactively provide updates to advisors regarding status of cases, outstanding requirements, etc.
- Adhere to set KPI’s maintaining In-Good-Order accuracy rates.
- Demonstrate ability to adhere to all Service Level Agreements by setting appropriate follow-up dates, responding to emails/phone calls, and ensuring we offer best-in-class service.
- Work directly with Knighthead Life’s leadership team to identify areas of opportunity to improve service levels and recommend best practices.
- Maintains knowledge of all annuity products, illustrations, systems, industry regulations, and department standards and goals.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
- 3 – 5 years of progressive responsibilities within an insurance or insurance distribution organization.
- In-depth understanding of life insurance/annuity new business transactions.
- Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- commitment to driving industry-leading customer service experience.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced team environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma required.
- 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in operational departments of an annuity or life insurance carrier, or similar transferable experience.
