Job Description: Cost Controller
KNL is on the lookout for a Cost Controller to join our team, operating directly onsite with our client. This role is key to monitoring and managing project costs to ensure the financial success of construction projects. The Cost Controller will work closely with the Project Team to provide accurate reporting, analyze budget performance, and forecast expenditures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor project budgets and track all costs, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Prepare regular financial reports, highlighting cost variances and providing actionable insights.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate cost forecasts and budgets.
- Review and verify supplier and subcontractor invoices for compliance with contractual agreements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain cost control systems and procedures for accurate tracking and reporting.
- Liaise with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project costs and budgets.
- Support procurement efforts by reviewing cost estimates and bids.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and financial tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
