Qualifications Diversity & Intercultural Center Coordinator
Reports To : Director of the Diversity and Intercultural Center
General Job Summary : The Diversity and Intercultural Center Coordinator supports the administrative functions and programming to further the center’s mission.
The coordinator will provide direct support, guidance, serve as a resource to students and help create a sense of belonging and inclusion on campus.
The Diversity and Intercultural Center (DIC) , fosters a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students. We are committed to enhancing the experience for students from diverse backgrounds, and helping them thrive personally, socially, and academically at Lawrence University.

Duties & Responsibilities
Advisor
Serve as an informal advisor and mentor to students.· Act as a resource to designated student organizations.· Accompany students to off-campus events and programs.
Programming
- Lead and supervise student staff in implementing programs.· Plan and implement diversity-related workshops, training, retreats and programs.
- Facilitate new initiatives that identify and connect to local, national, and global diversity-related trends and issues.
- Establish and develop effective working relationships various campus and community constituencies.
Administrative
- Provides a welcoming environment for all students.· Provides service during evenings and weekends when required.· Management of the Food Pantry.
Other duties may be assigned by the Director of the Diversity and Intercultural Center.
Knowledge and Skills Preferred :
1. Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of administrative experience.2. Experience working with diverse populations along with evidence of strong cultural competency.
3. Experience in planning and executing programs for a variety of audiences.4. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
5. General knowledge of supervision, office organization and management, marketing and publicity, and budgeting. 6. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
7. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft programs and strong familiarity with using social media platforms. Experience with website management and development is an asset.
Employment Requirements :
Must have successful completion of background check, driving record check (where applicable) and reference checks.
