Job Description
Mac-Lad Corp is seeking a highly skilled individual to fill our Administrative and Human Resources Assistant position.
We are a family owned and operated, small-sized building material supplier located on the East End of Long Island, NY. We are looking for a highly organized person to accomplish a variety of roles that will assist in our daily operations. These roles include, but are not limited to: taking and writing up orders from customers using our industry-specific computer software, answering the phone, data management/entry on Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, etc.), supporting human resources-related functions within the company, and assisting all other office personnel in completion of daily tasks. The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience in a business environment.
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, be eager to learn new things and be able to adapt to our specific work environment. We are looking for someone that is looking to build a career within our company. Experience in the construction industry, human resources or service-based industry highly preferred but we are very willing to train the right candidate.
Skills required are: exceptional customer service, above-average organization and attention to detail, office experience, ability to learn quickly, ability to memorize information necessary for job performance, ability to multi-task, ability to handle fast-paced work environments, ability to sit for extended periods of time, aptitude for computer programs and/or experience with computers.
Optional skills that would be a benefit: payroll, bookkeeping/accounting, web design, Quickbooks (or comparable).
This position will be highly dynamic and will provide room for growth within the company.
