We are an established, rapidly growing accounting firm in (Olde) Naples, Florida offering great pay, comprehensive benefits and Fridays off May through December. You are a highly motivated, disciplined and experienced Accountant looking for an opportunity to stand out at an independent firm and have a work life balance. In this role, you’ll be responsible for assisting our CPAs with various accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. We expect and reward excellence. This is an on-site position. Please do not apply if you do not live in Naples, Fort Myers or Bonita Springs, Florida.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance Preferred
- 5 years experience in bookkeeping
- Experience working at a CPA firm preferred
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, strong ethics and business conduct
- Ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment
- Highly proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Tax Software
- Knowledge about construction, hospitality and/or healthcare industry a plus
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with account reconciliation, payroll, account analysis and preparation of financial statements
- Support the accounting team in day-to-day operations
- Assist with tax preparation and filing
- Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Works as required during tax season to meet federal and state deadlines
- Perform other related tasks as needed
Skills
- Strong understanding of basic accounting GAAP principles
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly proficient with spreadsheets, accounting software and data entry
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Collaborative with colleagues at all levels
