JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: RECEPTIONIST – PART-TIME
Date Modified: 12-01-2023
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Office Manager
Schedule: Approximately 15 to 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Position Purpose: Provides front desk reception and clerical support functions
Essential Functions:
- Provides reception/front desk coverage in both Mercy Center locations as assigned: receiving and directing telephone calls, providing program information, greeting participants and visitors, directing participants and guests to appropriate rooms, and assisting in the maintenance of the reception area and gathering room
- Provides clerical support for the Directors, as well as other staff
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- This highly visible position requires an individual who possesses and maintains a positive, courteous and professional presence in the daily work environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook email, Word, and Excel preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in English and Spanish
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Generally works in standard office conditions and climate
- May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time
