Position Summary:
Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, support and maintenance of plant related systems and related IT infrastructure at local and remote plants. Additionally, this position provides second-level technical support, by giving in-person, hands-on support to end users at the desktop level as necessary. The candidate will be supporting the Sr. IT Business Analyst to identify, define, assess, document and implement various initiatives along with assisting with project management. Performs other related duties and manage projects as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with project management. Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, meetings and required tasks.
- Provide support to plant related systems, and related IT infrastructure, which includes but not limited to installation / configuration, connectivity, interfaces, licensing, monitoring, troubleshooting, etc. Maintain and support local network (including wireless), phone systems, Cell phones and tablets, audio / video conferencing systems, storage and servers, including file, print and backup servers and their associated operating systems, hardware and software
- Conduct in-person training, setup and onboarding for new users.
- Analyze and document existing business processes to identify potential areas for process improvement opportunities.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Strong customer service orientation, with ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to communicate effectively and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, users, software vendors and consultants.
- Ability to present ideas or communicate technical information to non-technical personnel in user-friendly language.
- Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, discounts, interest, commissions and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred. Ability to work independently as well as part of the IT team
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- A flexible and adaptable team player who is service oriented
Education:
- Associates degree in Business or IT
Experience: 1 years of related experience
