What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist - Form Grinding position at Moeller Precision Tool - South?
Moeller Precision Tool is currently hiring skilled CNC machinists for night shift. As a CNC machinist, you’ll play a crucial role within our team, responsible for machining steel parts used in production. Your expertise will primarily involve working with CNC form grinders, but you’ll also handle other manual and CNC machines as needed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Study blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine production methods.
- Set up and operate CNC form Grinders, and other machines as needed, ensuring they meet specifications.
- Perform inspections on manufactured parts to maintain quality standards.
- Enter production data into the data collection system.
- Maintain machinery by applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, and machining procedures.
- Always maintain a clean working area.
- Must follow all safety protocols. Safety boots and safety glasses at all times.
- Knowledge and ability to run manual and CNC machines with proven experience.
- High school diploma or GED. Basic math, geometry, and trigonometry skills.
- Competency with micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other inspection gauges.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, service-oriented, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work 8-10 hours a day while standing.
