Navanti anticipates supporting a project under the German Agency for International Cooperation (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit - GIZ) focused on strengthening local NGOs and building capacity among local stakeholders in the Middle East. The initiative aims to foster sustainable organizational growth, improve community impact, and enhance human capacity development in the region.
Navanti is seeking an experienced International Team Leader to oversee advisory packages, manage project teams, and coordinate communication with GIZ, partners, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have extensive leadership experience, strong regional expertise in the Middle East, and a proven background in development cooperation projects.
This role requires a results-oriented leader with strong project management skills, the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments, and a deep understanding of capacity-building strategies.
Tasks:
- Lead the overall management and quality assurance of advisory packages, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project requirements
- Coordinate communication with GIZ, local partners, and other stakeholders to maintain alignment with project goals
- Manage personnel, including planning, steering, and supporting local and international short-term experts
- Identify the need for short-term assignments and manage resource allocation within the available budget
- Oversee administrative compliance, ensuring accurate reporting and timely invoicing
- Regularly report on project progress in accordance with set deadlines
- Review and adapt training topics and tools to meet participant needs and evolving project requirements
Qualifications:
- Education/Training: Masters degree (or equivalent) in Organizational Change Management, Human Capacity Development, Social Sciences, or a related field
- Language: C2-level proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- General Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience
- Specific Professional Experience: At least 6 years supporting local NGOs and building capacity for local stakeholders
- Leadership/Management Experience: 5 years in a management or team leadership role within project-based environments
- Regional Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience in the Middle East, with a strong understanding of local contexts and stakeholder dynamics
- Development Cooperation Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience working on development cooperation projects
