Summary/Objective:
The Wrap Coordinator is responsible for implementing quality childcare wrap around services before and/or after Head Start/Early Head Start services.
Essential Functions:
- Implement childcare “wrap” services for designated groups of children.
- Recruit, hire, on-board, and supervise “wrap” staff.
- Create professional development plans for “wrap” staff.
- Complete annual performance evaluations for “wrap” staff.
- Monitor services for quality.
- Maintain accurate records for reporting purposes.
- Complete required reporting including attendance reporting.
· Participate in program assessment and community assessment initiatives.
· Aggregate and analyze data pertaining to wrap services.
- Ensure compliance with NJ Office of Licensing requirements.
- Maintain an open, positive working relationship with Managers and Coordinators and collaboratively work to maintain an effective professional environment.
· Provide emergency classroom and/or center coverage.
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Administrative and supervision experience preferred.
- Head Start experience preferred.
· Driver’s license required.
Specific Physical Requirements:
· Sitting for extended periods of time to complete desk work.
· Walking and standing for extended periods of time to meet with families and employees.
· Ability to use computers, keyboards, mice, and other office equipment. This includes typing, using a mouse, and viewing computer screens for prolonged periods.
· Lifting and carrying items such as boxes, office supplies and/or equipment up to 20 pounds.
· Ability perform tasks that require repetitive motions, such as typing, filing, or data entry, without risk of sprain or injury.
· Must be able to navigate the environment to ensure the safety of infants, toddlers, and Pre-K students ages birth -5, including but not limited to picking up a child or running after a child.
· Ability to pick up a child. Weights of this age group can be up to 38.5 pounds.

- An ability to clearly and effectively communicate, verbally and written. This includes listening attentively, expressing ideas clearly, and responding promptly to messages.
- An ability to effectively use Word, EXCEL, SharePoint, PowerPoint, TEAMS, and the HS/EHS database
- An understanding of poverty and its impact on children and families.
- An understanding of community partnerships.
- The ability to cultivate and maintain community partnerships.
Work Environment:
This position is located within a childcare setting with he majority of the time spent working in an office setting. This role is based in the office setting and in the community for approximately 90% of the time utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Approximately 10% of the time may be spent in a classroom. It may be necessary to provide emergency classroom or center coverage to ensure the safety of the children and families. Classroom coverage requires immediate attention and action responding to children following the Active Supervision Procedures. It requires active movement that is responsive to the needs of the children. This includes sudden movements and flexibility and the ability to perform these tasks in the indoor and outdoor learning environments.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a part-time position. Work hours are typically Monday through Friday, 2:30 pm-5:00 PM. Specific schedules are determined at the time of hire.
Travel:
This position requires approximately 2% of travel per week.
