What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Clerk (Tilton) position at Nucar Northern New England?
Nucar Automall of Tilton is currently looking for a full-time Office Clerk/Accounts Payables Clerk to join our fast paced team. Our ideal candidate must be team focused, detail-oriented, able to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced customer environment, and possess outstanding customer service and communication skills.
The ideal candidate has dealership experience with a solid grasp of basic accounting principles.
They must be detail-oriented with the aptitude to learn and grow within an expanding organization.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to ensure the accurate processing of all customer sales and service transactions and its related paperwork.
- Must read and comprehend instructions and information, both orally and in writing.
- Working knowledge of Google Products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Required to effectively utilize the dealership's computer system.
- Knowledge of credits and debits along with one year of general office experience, preferred.
- Receives, processes, and reconciles vendor accounts. Posts and pays an average of 50-75
checks daily. - Reconciles statements and ensures payments are consistent with set schedules.
- Creates strong business relationships with all vendors.
- Completes daily vehicle payoffs and communicates with outside lending sources.
- Provides administrative assistance as needed.
- Attends all staff meetings, training, and educational classes as required and performs other duties as assigned.
- Reviews automotive deals for a wide variety of tasks which may include accuracy, completed information, deposits or C.O.D.s and attached required documents (e.g., purchase and sale agreement, insurance binder, credit application & finance contract if applicable) and notifies applicable dealership personnel of required documentation needed via e-mail.
- Ensures documentation is complete (e.g., all signatures and required information is properly documented) per the requirements.
- Coordinates and ensures that all trade-in paperwork information has been received and is complete (e.g., Odometer statement, Title, Duplicate Title Form, required fees).
- Reviews for Assistant Controller, all customer lease "buy out" sales transactions (deals) for accuracy, completed information, deposits or C.O.D.'s and attached required documents (e.g., purchase and sale agreement, insurance binder, credit application & finance contract-if applicable) and notifies applicable dealership personnel of required documentation needed.
- Runs applicable end of month reports which may include (e.g., Sales Doc, Accounting Doc) and verifies that the Sales Doc and Accounting Doc balance.
