About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP, APRN) to deliver comprehensive, quality patient care to our pediatric population. In this role, you will provide diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, collaborate with our experienced physicians, and participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives. Our department, led by Dr. Zeev Harel (former Brown University Medical School Professor of Pediatrics), boasts high levels of employee engagement and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive health care to children and adolescents in collaboration with department physicians.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventions according to established standards of practice.
- Refer patients to specialists for further evaluation and treatment as needed.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement and peer review activities.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation using our electronic health record system.
- Coordinate patient care with team members, other departments, and community agencies.
- Make evidence-based clinical decisions and comply with organizational quality measures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and completion of an approved nurse practitioner program specializing in pediatric medicine.
- Valid State of Connecticut APRN licensure (Required).
- Eligibility to obtain DEA and Connecticut controlled substance registration.
- Deep knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
- Ability to provide culturally competent care to a diverse patient population.
- Strong skills in taking medical history, assessing medical conditions, and interpreting findings.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Comfortable using electronic health records and other computer systems.
- Experience: 1 year of APRN experience (Preferred)
- Language: Spanish (Preferred)
