Pala Casino - Database Marketing Operations Manager

Location: Pala, CA

Reporting to the Director of Database Marketing, help leverage Pala’s competitive advantages represented by our customer database. Provides tactical support to the Director for other direct-response marketing programs. Helps design and develop objectives and strategies for direct-response marketing programs. Analyzes the market in order to plan, direct and execute promotions. Contributes to revenue growth through customer acquisition, retention and recovery programs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent experience required
• Two to five years’ experience in multi-channel direct-response marketing, telemarketing or related experience preferred
• Two to five years’ project management experience preferred
• Print production experience with an emphasis on off-set printing and with digital, variable printing experience preferred
• Computer experience in all Microsoft Office software. SQL and Microsoft Access experience is preferred
• In-depth understanding of marketing principles, customer segmentation, data privacy regulations, and industry trends
• Experience with email marketing tools, utilizing variable data and personalization preferred
• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
• Excellent math, statistical and technical computer skills
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills and leadership abilities

Essential Job Functions:

• With Director, design, develop and manage (within designated budgets) direct-mail acquisition, retention and lead-generation programs to enhance revenue growth
• Acts as department’s property contact for new project generation
• Helps determine content for DM projects, manages creative development and solicits details and copy points from other parties and departments
• Assists in the estimating and actual cost reporting of DM campaign efforts. Recommends production alternatives that will improve cost effectiveness where appropriate
• Oversee all database marketing projects to ensure accuracy and integrity of offers, customer lists, and segment results
• Monitors direct-mails marketing programs; evaluate overall effectiveness and recommend modification as necessary
• Recommends program changes that will lead to improved sales/yields
• Coordinates and manages internal departments and external vendors in the creation and fulfillment of DM campaigns
• Develops and manages internal department production schedules and deadlines and ensures that DM projects are executed accurately and within established deadlines. Prepare and present regular departmental production/status meetings.
• Provides creative briefs, copy point information, art requirements, and deadlines to creative team for all DM campaigns
• Responsible for the proofing of all DM related artwork to ensure an accurate and consistent campaign direction
• Provides strategic and tactical support to the Director for other direct-response programs
• Creates, distributes, and communicates DM program information to appropriate internal departments and personnel, and elicit feedback
• Acts as key department contact in the absence of the Director
• Constantly running computer programs; following directions; reading; writing; using math; working at various tempos; making decisions; concentrating; remembering; attention to and observing details.
• Frequently sitting; standing; walking up to 1,000 ft.; using eye/hand coordination; handling; wrist motion.
• Must be able to speak and write fluently in the English language.

• Regular, predictable attendance required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
