Description
The Accounts Payable Specialist will work alongside the HWC Financial Coordinator to ensure all vendor payments are paid in a timely fashion and all rules and regulations of the department are followed. They will provide support to the management team to promote positive program growth to further services to the community.
Duties Include:
- PRC Oversite: Ensure that all rules and regulations of the PRC program are followed
- Keep fee schedules updated quarterly
- Set up new vendors
- Monitor daily referrals and patient eligibility updates
- Review processed PRC claims for payment
- Work with software vendor/IT staff to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department
- Office Payables: Process all office invoices for payment and research any discrepancies noted on vendor statements.
- Compliance: Ensure all Health & Wellness Vendors have a completed W9 and new vendor set up prior to payment of any invoices.
- Quality Assurance: Review/reconcile subsidiary account to the Tribes General Ledger.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of regular reports to HWC Directors and funding agencies.
- Meetings: Attends and participates in various community and staff meetings whose goals directly or indirectly relate to the Health & Wellness Division.
- Personal Contacts: Maintains regular contacts of a positive nature with clients, staff, and community members to accomplish department objectives and preserve good public relations.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Special projects to be assigned based on competencies and time availability
- Qualifications:
- Education: Associates Degree or equivalent experience
- License: CPR Certification, Washington State Drivers License, and others as necessary.
- Job Skills: Excellent organizational and writing skills required. Ability to multi-task, maintains confidentiality and represent the department in a professional manner.
- Other: Basic personal computer skills are required, as well as the ability to learn word-processing, spreadsheet and other software programs.
Requirements:
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to walk, sit, stand and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Travel Requirements:
- Local, Statewide and out of state travel may be required.
