What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to deliver targeted, culturally responsive ELA instruction
- Provide push-in support by assisting teachers during lessons and working with small groups of students
- Utilize school-provided ELA workbooks and PRACTICE’s digital ELA curriculum to reinforce key literacy concepts
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and academic growth
- Provide individualized attention to students as needed to address specific learning challenges
- Days: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
- Time: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Duration: March 31, 2025 – May 23, 2025 (excluding holidays and school conferences)
- Key Dates Off:
- March 31: Eid al-Fitr
- April 14–18: Spring Recess
- Experience: Prior experience tutoring or teaching elementary school Math and/or ELA
- Subject Proficiency: Strong knowledge of elementary-level Math and/or ELA
- Team Player: Collaborative spirit and a desire to work closely with teachers and students
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to connect effectively with diverse audiences
- Passion: A commitment to educational equity and social justice for minority and low-income students
- Availability: Must be able to work the specified schedule consistently
- Competitive Pay: Earn $22/hr with the opportunity to increase to $24.20/hr through a completion bonus
