Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for insurance claim follow-up and appeal management.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain current status and detailed notes on Insurance Claims on all over 45 days
- Weekly resolves reported denials as indicated on the Denial worklist
- Answers patients calls and questions
- Identify and report any delays/trends in reimbursement per the Carrier billing requirements
- Timely respond to all payor request and appeals
- Appropriately scan correspondence received to appropriate file folder
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or in a similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
