We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager who is passionate about driving operational excellence and leading a talented engineering team.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Manager to join ProSteel's team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing manufacturing processes, improving product quality, and ensuring efficient production operations within our facility. This position requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, process optimization, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills:
1. Must be able to design and create complex part and assembly models using SolidWorks. Must be able to create drawings with dimensions, tolerances, welding requirements, and lists of parts/subassemblies using SolidWorks.
2. Must be able to modify existing documents, track changes, and keep files accurate and up to date.
3. Must be able to read and understand engineering documents including drawings, technical specifications, and material properties.
4. Must have good problem-solving skills and be able to determine the root cause of issues and resolve them.
5. Must be able to encourage, prioritize, and track quality.
6. Must have excellent math skills.
7. Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Must be organized and manage details well.
9. Must take directions well and be able to work without supervision.

Desired Skills:
1. Be proficient using SAP, Adobe Illustrator, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Zoom.
2. Create programs for turret, router, press brake, water jet, laser, CNC mill, and robotic welder.
3. Be able to run a drill press, lathe, and welder.
4. Have mechanical inspection skills including measuring, evaluating, and determining if requirements have been met.
5. Be able to create silk screens.
Required Experience:
1. Minimum 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
2. Highly proficient in SolidWorks.
3. Design and R&D experience
4. Experience programming CNC equipment
Desired Experience:
1. Experience in a machine shop.
2. Experience with SAP.
Education:
1. Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree
Responsibilities:
1. Design, modify, document, and inspect safes.
1. Manage domestic BOMs and parts in SAP.
2. Program Press Brakes, CNC Mill, Laser, Turret, Router, Robotic Welder.
3. Create ASN labels using SPS.
4. Supervise R&D department and Engineering Technician.
5. Interface with foreign manufacturers. Send clear requirements, inspect product, send clear corrections and improvements.
6. Interface with Browning International and ensure product sent to them is high quality.
7. Support weld shop paint shop, and finish shop by improving manufacturing process, designing and providing jigs, and troubleshooting and resolving issues.
8. Maintain and improve production quality domestically and foreign.
9. Maintain and update documentation including models, drawings, and specification sheets.
10. Confirm facts and figures used in catalogs and brochures.
11. Maintain up to date MRC codes.
12. Manage UL audits and VDS audits.
13. Create and maintain silkscreens.
14. Manage environmental and emissions audits and reports.
