Outdoor Adventure Guide – Youth Camp
Location: Red Oak Camp – Kirtland, Ohio
Pay: $415 per week
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:15 PM (35 hours per week)
About Red Oak Camp
Red Oak Camp is a nonprofit nature-based camp that helps kids develop confidence, resilience, and a love for the outdoors. Our campers explore the wilderness, challenge themselves on ropes courses, try archery and canoeing, and build friendships through hands-on adventure.
Job Overview
As an Outdoor Adventure Guide, you will lead a group of 10-12 campers through a day of exciting outdoor activities. You will play a key role in fostering a fun, safe, and engaging environment where campers can learn new skills and grow in confidence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise campers through outdoor activities.
- Encourage campers to step outside their comfort zones and try new things.
- Ensure safety, fun, and inclusion for all participants.
- Assist instructors with adventure-based activities.
- Foster teamwork and leadership skills in campers.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Experience in outdoor activities, adventure sports, or working with youth preferred.
- Enthusiastic, adaptable, and safety-conscious.
- Ability to work in an outdoor setting in all weather conditions.
