MISSION:
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will develop long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with builders, contractors, architects, trade organizations and consumer clients.
BDR's for Pella Windows and Doors are responsible for building the Pella brand within the construction industry. BDR's will grow their account base through prospecting, building relationships in the industry, and promoting Pella products. BDR's will provide well-rounded solutions, market expertise, and partnership by understanding customer needs.
OUTCOMES:
Looking back at your 1st year as a Business Development Representative for Pella you will have...
* Developed professional relationships with builders, contractors, architects, professional remodelers and trade organizations.
* Driven the acquisition of new accounts through networking, face-to-face meetings, and referrals.
* Worked as a business partner to your clients - Ensuring needs are met and establishing a long term mutually beneficial relationship.
* Maintained customer satisfaction ratings that exceed corporate targets.
* Conducted face-to-face meetings with decision makers
* Closed sales with new customers/clients while maintaining existing customer relationships.
* Built customer relationships through follow up with existing and potential clients using a consultative sales process; i.e. sends hand written thank you cards to customers as a proactive measure of customer management.
* Collaborated with Service/Operations teams to ensure successful after sales service requirements and installations.
*Responsible for all field activities and aspects relating to customer relations, product application, product sales and delivery, service and product installation instructions
* Presented product demonstrations, accurately read and interpret take-off blueprints, and to use electronic software and systems (PQM, MSOffice, etc.) to quote, sell and order products for remodeling and new construction residential and light commercial projects, and assist in providing prompt and on-time delivery.
* Ensured that Pella products are installed properly and in accordance with recommended guidelines of the manufacturer.
* Represented Pella at company sponsored events, HBA meetings, trade association meetings and/or builder home shows.
COMPETENCIES:
* 1 years of sales experience preferred but not required
* Customer service and public relations skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
* Excellent verbal and written English language skills
* Strong organizational skills, prioritize tasks, and be able to meet deadlines
* Ability to be mobile and be able to occasionally lift/move up to 40lbs
* Must have own fully insured and functional automobile
* Territory is focused on Suffolk County, Eastern Long Island, specifically the Hamptons market. Living within commuting distance is required
This is a salaried position and there is car allowance provided as well. As a 1st year BDR you can expect your OTE to be in $75,000 to $85,000 range. 2nd year BDR's earn in the $100,000 to $125,000 range
