We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in New York for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant in the Financial Services industry. As an HR Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks ranging from managing employee records to coordinating HR events.Responsibilities:• Act as the primary contact for all employee-related concerns.• Oversee the full recruitment cycle, from initial coordination to final execution, in collaboration with the HR team.• Ensure the proper maintenance and accuracy of employee records, including I-9 forms and other relevant documents.• Provide assistance in the execution of performance management procedures.• Efficiently schedule and manage all HR-related events, including meetings, interviews, and other activities.• Supervise the onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring all steps are properly followed.• Regularly update materials used in new employee orientations.• Oversee the payroll process for all employees, ensuring accurate verification of time cards and prompt response to payroll-related inquiries.• Collaborate with the Finance department as necessary.• Provide support to other functions as assigned.• Assist the HR manager with various HR-related tasks as needed.
