What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing and Recruiting Associate position at Seaboard International Forest Products, LLC?
We are seeking a creative team member to play a key role in promoting Seaboard to potential employees, customers, and suppliers, facilitating the enhancement of company culture both internally and externally and capturing it in order to tell our story. This person will participate in recruiting new traders and developing and executing our company's marketing efforts in social media, print ads, and promotion both on and off site.
As a Marketing and Recruiting Associate you will….
- recognize the culture and value narrative of our organization and creatively and accurately express that picture to new prospects and to our stakeholders through media and in a person in exciting ways
- develop, schedule, and post engaging social media content, creating original graphics, photography, and videography
- collaborate with marketing team to create a social media calendar
- update social media content across all channels
- monitor and analyze marketing and social media metrics to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- use social media marketing tools to monitor channels and identify industry trends, become knowledgeable of best practices on LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook
- create written, video, and photo content for digital and print ads
- manage, edit, and update our website, keeping at forefront of features available
- monitor and report SEO and web traffic metrics
- arrange our presence, set-up, and attend career fairs, on-campus networking events, and trade shows, manage incoming and outgoing communications of same
- prospect for new traders
- engage and network with prospects, stakeholders on college campuses, attendees at trade organizations, and media followers, and establish relationships with social media influencers to develop a strong network
- be present and in some cases plan and facilitate events, capturing the excitement and flavor of what we do professionally, philanthropically, and for fun, and when called upon manage events, including vendor selection, budgeting, timeline creation, and guest communication
- coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure all marketing and recruiting initiatives are executed successfully
- communicate effectively with Seaboard management
You must be….
- gregarious; you’ve never met a stranger
- experienced in creating social media content for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter
- proficient with Canva, Photoshop, or their equivalent, and Microsoft Office suite
- knowledgeable of social media platforms and analytics tools
- equally comfortable working independently as you are with a team
- good at graphic design and editing websites or be able to learn how
- skilled in delivering the spoken and written word
- a valid, licensed driver
- joyful in planning events
- have earned your bachelor's degree
- a learned photographer or like taking pictures
- fun-loving, persistent, hard-working, and honest
- experienced at zookeeping or cat herding
It would also be nice if you….
- were a marketing, events planning, digital marketing, communication, or internet marketing major
- have a videography, video creation and editing background, experience with Kapwing is a plus
- hold experience as a social media content manager, writing ads, or writing content
- are good at using WordPress
