What are the responsibilities and job description for the Connections Ministry Associate College Age - Blankenbaker Campus position at Southeast Christian Church?
What You Will Be Doing:
- Lead and maintain the connection and assimilation process for CAM at the Blankenbaker campus. Working to create pathways for new men and women (18-25) to connect to community, groups, and serving opportunities within CAM and SECC.
- Lead the way on “large scale” operational duties for the college-age ministry at the Blankenbaker campus and also provide some operational support and resources for CAM expressions at other SECC campuses.
- Lead first impression elements & volunteer teams for all CAM events and environments.
- This role will report to the College Age Ministry lead. Also, it will work closing with the other CAM staff, residents, and interns as well as other ministries and partners of SECC.

- Work efficiently within our Rock database to process connection cards and quickly reach out to new people seeking connection within our church, and get them plugged into groups and serving opportunities. (Blankenbaker)
- Strategize and own first impressions elements within all CAM environments such as: aesthetics, music/audio, volunteer teams, making sure people feel welcomed and known, access to important ministry/event information, connections pathways and strategies within CAM events to connect new people beyond their first visit. - First impressions will include set up/tear down teams, as well as welcome teams. (BB)
- Own EMS (internal facilities booking system) for the CAM team. (BB)
- Own “large scale” operational tasks for the CAM team. Events and details that effect the whole of the team will be the responsibility of this team member. For example, but not limited to: Event purchase requisitions, food service orders and contracts for large events, invoice processing, managing team/ministry calendar (Microsoft Outlook). The day to day administrative/operational duties will be owned by each team member in their respective ministry area. (BB & CDT)
- Update and maintain relevant information on the SECC website as it pertains to CAM across all campuses. (BB & CDT)
- Utilize the texting service within Rock to communicate relevant info. (BB) Possess a working knowledge of Instagram as a means of communication, promotion, and culture building. (BB & CDT)
- Work alongside the college age ministry lead and the rest of the college ministry team within a collaborative ministry model. Participating in and leading at CAM events and programs such as B&B, classes like Navigate, annual retreats, and conferences. (BB & CDT)
- Have the ability to preach and teach in an effect and engaging way. (BB)
- Performs various pastoral duties such as, hospital visits, baptisms, and counseling opportunities. (BB)

- Utilize Rock Database Systems.
- Understand and use Rock (online software) as a means of facilitating and tracking the connection of new people within CAM and SECC. Use Rock to strategically communicate with mass text to people who have subscribed to our 733733 texting service. This is primarily used for event and group promotion.
Our Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in ministry.
- Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church, or willing to become one
