PRINTING/LAMINATION MANAGER
The Printing/Lamination manager provides guidance and direction to production employees while overseeing all department operations that occur during the assigned shifts. Ensures production schedule are achieved while meeting standards for safety and quality.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Management of the Production Schedule for the Printing/Lamination department.
Identifies and secures necessary resources (people, materials, etc.)
Schedules and assigns work to department employees, managing and adjusting priorities.
Monitors production process and progress in terms of meeting production goals; trouble-shoots problems, as necessary. Ensures proper functioning of equipment by coordinating with maintenance and other departments as needed.
Coordinates with incoming/outgoing shift supervisors as needed to ensure a smooth transition between shifts.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Reporting and Record-keeping:
Trained in the areas of UPONE system and all operations related to production processes and workforce for the Printing/Lamination department.
Sends out required shift update once information is entered at the end of the shift.
Oversees other special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Safety Management
Follows and Adheres to all Takigawa Corporation America safety policies.
Provides required safety training specific to Printing/Lamination department employees.
Ensures a safe work environment by operating within and enforcing organization standards; ensures all employees
maintains clean work area consistent with cGMP guidelines.
Quality Management
Maintains quality production by operating within and enforcing organization standards.
Participates in ISO Certification program and performed associated auditing functions.
Participates in writing work instructions and procedures when company began initial ISO, BRC or any other certifications.
Adaptability
Provides ongoing training and development for all employees on the shift.
Fosters a positive work environment through open and ongoing communications and an atmosphere of teamwork.
Provides performance feedback to staff; recognizes superior performance through multiple means; provides coaching, counseling or progressive discipline as needed.
Resolves work and interpersonal conflicts as needed.
Establishes an environment which motivates and engages the employees to achieve desired results.
Delivery Date Management
Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner.
Cost Management
Maintains efficiency and capacity in production by operating within and enforcing organization standards for a continuous improvement atmosphere; seeks to identify & recommend ways to streamline processes, reduce waste or enhance production.
Participates in the recruitment and selection of staff as needed.
Manage direct labor, materials, and other related costs to budget.
Project Management
Oversees other special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Top Skills and Proficiencies:
Knowledgeable of and/or trained in all major safety related activities (Lock Out/Tag Out, Behaviorally Based Safety, incident investigations, etc.)
Knowledgeable of and/or trained in all major quality related activities (statistical process control, etc.)
Results orientation; prominent level of personal initiative, energy, and ownership for success
Strong supervision and team leadership skills for a multi-cultural team
Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work equally well with all levels of employees
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to understand/interpret the production schedule
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
