Description
Team Fishel, the Best Choice for Utility Construction & Engineering and Network Installation, is hiring a Permit Agent for our Professional Services Group in Phoenix, AZ. The purpose of a Permit Agent at Team Fishel is to aid our overhead and underground utility design process by overseeing the permit procedure through completion which includes: preparation and submittal of permit applications to municipalities, government agencies and private entities; review of prints for correctness prior to being submitted; follow up for timely review; delivery of final approvals; and coordinate design print updates per revisions provided by permitting agency.
Requirements
- Utilize web-based applications to research and identify existing permitting requirements and submittal instruction
- Travel and overnight stays in job sites during the work week are rare but may be required from time to time
- This job consists of primarily indoor activity however may require minimal outdoor activity and the ability to safely navigate uneven terrain in all types of weather
Qualifications
- High School Diploma and valid driver's license
- Must possess the aptitude to read maps, plan routes and work independently
- Able to build strong relationships within local governmental departments to quickly and effectively obtain permits
- Requires knowledge of MS Office and Google Earth

Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in permitting is desired
- Utility right of way knowledge experience is a plus
Team Fishel will provide all training necessary to perform this job and candidate will work with other Teammates until fully qualified to work alone.
Starting pay $18 to $23 per hour depending upon experience.
