What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director position at THE GROWING TREE?
Principal Function for this Position the Managing Director is responsible for the management, administration and growth of the Growing Tree Nursery School to ensure an environment that allows children, their families, and the staff to develop to their full potential. The Executive Director is accountable for program operation that meets Tennessee Department of Human Services criteria.
Categorized Duties (specifically stated in Employment Handbook): · Administration: Recruit, manage, and retain enrollment and class assignments · Staff: Hire, train, manage, and evaluate staff according to licensing requirements · Curriculum: Provide opportunities for the best physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual development · Spirituality: Collaborate with Children’s Ministries Team and Program Director to set and evaluate annual goals and ensure quality of religious programs · Families: Partner and set expectations with monthly communication notes, annual parent orientation, parent/teacher conferences, and one-on-one meetings as needed · Facilities: Coordinate events, maintenance, and general space needs with Church staff · Conduct the activities of the school to conform to the approved budgets · Attend and participate in meetings as needed
