POSITION: Graduate Assistant for Women’s Soccer
SUPERVISOR: Head Women’s Soccer Coach
DEPARTMENT: Athletics – Women’s Soccer
LOCATION: Tiffin University, Tiffin, OH
Tiffin University is a coeducational private institution located in Tiffin, Ohio. Tiffin is a NCAA Division II institution competing in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. Tiffin University is seeking a Graduate Assistant for the Women's Soccer program. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about soccer and coaching and who wish to pursue a graduate degree while gaining hands-on experience in a collegiate athletic setting. The Graduate Assistant will support the Head Coach in various aspects of the Women's Soccer program, including training, game preparation, recruiting, and administrative duties.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily practice sessions, including drills, exercises, and game preparation.
- Help with video analysis and scouting of opponents.
- Provide support in recruiting efforts, including communication with prospective student-athletes.
- Attend and support team events, games, and competitions as assigned.
- Assist with academic support and mentoring of student-athletes.
- Handle administrative tasks such as organizing team schedules, travel arrangements, and equipment management.
- Contribute to social media and marketing efforts to promote the Women's Soccer program.
- Help maintain a positive team culture and uphold the values of Tiffin University Athletics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Strong background in soccer, preferably at the collegiate or competitive club level.
- Prior coaching or assistant coaching experience is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well with student-athletes, coaching staff, and university personnel.
- Must be admitted or in the process of being admitted to a graduate program at Tiffin University.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel for games and recruiting events.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Stipend: A competitive stipend will be provided.
