Job Summary
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for maintaining positive employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, managing employee leave processes, leading performance management, and optimizing HR systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Essential Duties
· Act as a key point of contact for employees, addressing concerns, conflicts, and inquiries in a professional and confidential manner.
· Provide guidance and support to both employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
· Facilitate resolution of employee issues, mediate disputes, and help foster a positive work environment.
· Conduct investigations into employee complaints or grievances, ensuring fair and timely resolutions.
· Manage and process all types of employee leaves, including FMLA, disability, personal, and other statutory leaves.
· Communicate leave policies and assist employees with the leave application process, ensuring they understand their rights and responsibilities.
· Track and monitor employee leave balances, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
· Work with employees and managers to ensure a smooth transition back to work after leave and assist with accommodations when necessary.
· Generate and analyze HR-related reports to support decision-making and improve HR processes.
· Assist in the implementation and optimization of HR systems, ensuring efficient workflows and system integrations.
· Stay up to date on federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations to ensure company policies and practices are in compliance.
· Conduct regular audits of HR processes, employee records, and systems to ensure legal compliance.
· Assist with year end compliance initiatives.
· Develop and update HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with legal requirements and best practices.
· Assist in the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives aimed including surveys at improving employee engagement and satisfaction.
· Support the implementation and administration of the performance management process, ensuring it aligns with organizational goals.
· Work with managers and employees to establish performance goals, expectations, and development plans.
· Coordinate and assist in the annual performance review process, ensuring timely completion and alignment with company objectives.
· Provide training and guidance to managers on delivering constructive feedback and handling performance-related issues.
· Provide support with benefits administration and serve as the backup

Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
· 4 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role, with a focus on employee relations, LOAs, compliance, performance management and systems management.
· Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, including FMLA.
· Experience working with HRIS systems including but not limited to system optimization.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion.
