Trussville Gas and Water provides water and gas service to several communities in Central Alabama.
We are recruiting a Customer ServiceRepresentative.This individual performs a variety of customer service duties including answering the phone, processing payments, setting up new customers and putting in work orders.
Key Accountabilities:
- Obtain required information from customers to begin and discontinue water and or Gas service.
- Accepts and accurately processes customer payments at the drive thru or over the phone.
- Responds to customer billing inquiries or complaints.
- Interacts with the public, on the telephone, via email and in person, in a satisfactory manner.
- Communicate with servicemen via telephone to relay customer service requests.

Knowledge of:
- Office methods, practices and procedures.
- Desktop computers using Windows Operating System.

- Post and verify data accurately and quickly.
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work and provide excellent customer service.
