The THRIVE program serves students from the Beaverton School District in afterschool programs.
THRIVE Program Mission:
- Support and challenge students physically, mentally, and socially.
- Inspire creativity, imagination, and lifelong learning.
- Provide opportunities for kids to have fun, learn, and express themselves through various activities while maintaining a safe environment.

Our afterschool program strives to create a fun and educational environment where children can develop their talents and recognize their importance both individually and within their community.
Locations: THPRD offers the THRIVE After School program at the following facilities:
- Tualatin Hills Athletic Center
- Cedar Hills Recreation Center
- Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center
- Garden Home Recreation Center (and Chehalem Elementary)
Responsibilities of Program Leaders and Program Drivers:
- Assist in coordinating, instructing, supervising, and leading learning and enrichment activities for the assigned program area.
- Create an inclusive and satisfying program/class atmosphere for all participants.
- Ensure the safety of program participants and provide basic first aid if necessary.
Classification Status:
PART-TIME VARIABLE (ONGOING) & PART-TIME BENEFITS (PTB) ELIGIBLE
THPRD is hiring for multiple positions, hours may vary and are based on program need. Part-time variable (PT) employees work an average of less than 20 hours per week and may work less than 1,560 hours on an annual basis. Part-time benefits (PTB) eligible employees work an average of 20 hours per week but, less than 30 hours, on a year-round basis and are eligible to enroll in a benefits package.
