What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Supervisor position at Turfway Park?
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and coordinate the planning, organizing, and coordination of events and promotions within the facility to meet revenue goals and provide the highest quality of guest service.
- Supervise and coordinate the purchase of promotional items, giveaways, and support of emcee drawings via microphone system to both small and large live audiences.
- Participate in and monitor events overall. Ensures objectives and budgets are being met.
- Write copy and proofread all promotional materials, social media, direct mail, email campaigns, and website content.
- Assist with proofing variable data on all monthly mailers.
- Responsible for set-up of promotional games including kiosks and drawings.
- Plan and execute our email marketing campaign strategy to support promotions, events, new games, and special offers.
- Develop relevant, unique, and engaging content for our social media platforms.
- Monitor all social channels for guest feedback and responding as needed.
- Foster dialogue on our social platforms to create interactive relationships with our guests.
- Ensure website content is kept current.
- Work with our advertising agency to measure the effectiveness of our social efforts.
- Coordinate and traffic marketing projects with our advertising agency.
- Responsible for reporting and analysis of marketing campaigns as assigned.
- Direct support staff, contractors, and vendors as necessary to successfully accomplish promotions and special events.
- Generate necessary purchase requisitions and purchase orders to ensure all invoices are paid promptly.
- Meet with the Food and Beverage, Players Club, Security, IT, and Marketing departments on a regular basis to ensure all special events and promotions are being carried out properly.
- Assist with sponsorship and charitable contributions projects as assigned.
- Provide information and explain Players Club benefits, property amenities, & marketing programs to guests.
- Develop and build relationships with guests through excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional guest service.
- Promote the highest degree of quality guest service, both internally and externally.
- All other duties as assigned.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and interact with internal departments.
- Understand and represent Turfway Park Racing & Gaming’s image and reputation both at work and at external functions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or similar and/or three years of experience in the field preferred
- Gaming experience preferred, but not required
- Supervisor experience preferred
- Guest service experience preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Able to obtain a valid Racing License
