General Responsibilities
The HR Systems Analyst is accountable for data integrity across various HR systems including quality, accuracy, timeliness, and usability. This position works with various systems, associated systems, databases, and modules that comprise UAB Medicine HR operations. This positon will maintain data integrity in systems through pro-active means (audits, queries, etc.), serve as a champion between users, management, HSIS, and service providers on system issues and projects including system design, system maintenance & modifications, system optimization, and operational/functional issues. This position will serve as the primary analyst for the Applicant Tracking System(s) by setup, maintenance, configuration, reporting, and daily operations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field, and two (2) years of equivalent experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement. Experience maintaining data integrity in systems, including designing, maintaining and optimizing data systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Prior experience with learning management software (LMS) preferred.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs system analyst duties:
- Participate and support projects including system design, system maintenance & modifications, system optimization, and operational/functional issues
- Collaborate with other analysts and key stakeholders to plan, modify and customize system(s) to address issues that impact data integrity and testing new features/applications
- Perform audits/queries through the system(s) that impact data integrity or poses risk to the performance of the overall functionality of the system(s)
- Provide end-user support, troubleshooting and hands-on training (where applicable) in a time-sensitive manner
- Perform administrator activities including but not limited to data entry and running reports
- Prepares training materials, procedures, and documentation
- Ensures system compliance to meet regulatory and HR standards
- May provide support or serve as backup administrator for various HR systems
- Collaborates with data analysts:
- May collaborate with data analysts through running reports, assisting with file creation, and other duties as assigned
- Participates in continuous quality improvements:
- Proactively participate in job-related meetings/webinars and other activities to achieve and maintain a high level of expertise of working and enhancing functionality of the system(s)
- Assess and provide input for process improvement and automation in the system(s)
- Supports functional operations of HR:
- Attend staff meetings and completes all mandatory training
- Participate in HR functions impacting all HR staff
- May lead projects and activities
- Remains committed to personal continuing education and professional growth:
- Pursue learning opportunities that would promote the success of the duties of this position
- Serves as a resource to internal and external customers
- Shares knowledge and skills through meetings and presentations
- LMS Administrator Duties
- Support LMS including system maintenance, system optimization, and operational/functional issues
- Collaborate with HR specialists, financial departments, HSIS, leadership, LMS Client Success Managers, and other service providers to address issues that have system impact
- Performs other duties as assigned
