We are a 3PL provider of assembly and contract packaging services and the associated warehousing, distribution, procurement, and transportation services.
The Material Coordinator is responsible for providing a high level of customer service to both suppliers and OEMs. Ensure that customer needs and requirements are met timely and accurately. Daily release printing from multiple systems, validate and provide picklists to the warehouse team, ensure accuracy of shipping paperwork, send and validate ASNs. Escalate any problems that may impact the overall operation or customer scorecard.
Responsibilities
Operations
- Responsible for preparing and executing daily outbound shipments
- Responsible for all new part, supplier and OEM setups in our Warehouse Management System
- Participates in 8D report preparation when required
- Assists in monthly billing as needed
- Prepare and communicate domestic and international shipments to client
- Interface with carriers and set up pickups/deliveries as needed
- Assist in special projects as assigned
- Ensure the timeliness and correctness of ASN’s for outgoing shipments
- Responsible for ensuring all necessary paperwork is sent to the customer as requested
- Report any abnormal issues within the operation to the Materials Supervisor and/or Warehouse Supervisor
Documentation
- Update individual and team metrics for department
- Update completion of required documentation for outbound air shipping
Communication
- Responsive communication with customer as needed
- Communicate late deliveries, order changes, missed information and tracking numbers to customers as needed
- Attend regular meetings with assigned personnel
- Support facility personnel to ensure that the assigned duties are performed
- Communicate continuous improvement suggestions to management
- Keep team members aware of pickups and carriers assigned
- Communicate late pickups, and tracking information to customer as needed
- Provide responses and or details on shipments/receipts in customer’s systems and reports as required
Quality
- Apply continuous improvement assessments facility wide
- Achieve customer satisfaction with an error/defect free service
- Adhere to the customer’s requirements
- Attend QOS meetings as required
- Responsible for data entry/manipulation and maintaining QOS files as required
- Comply with Quality System procedures
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Experience with SAP and Web Portal Data Entry, preferred
- Knowledge of logistics
- Strong experience in logistics or manufacturing industries
Pay Range
USD $19.00 - USD $22.00 /Hr.Salary : $19 - $22
