SAP PP

Job Responsibilities:

SAP PP (Production Planning) Implementation & Support:

• Lead or contribute to end-to-end (E2E) implementation of SAP PP module for production planning, ensuring seamless integration with other modules such as MM, SD, and WM.
• Provide SAP PP support by resolving day-to-day issues, troubleshooting, and maintaining SAP production planning functionality.

SAP Planning/Master Scheduling Processes:

• Manage and support SAP Master Data, including Bill of Materials (BOM), Routing, and work centers to ensure they are configured correctly.
• Oversee the setup and optimization of MRP (Material Requirements Planning), Master Scheduling, and Production Order processes.

Master Data Management & Configuration:

• Hands-on experience in managing Master Data, including BOM, Routings, Work Centers, Production Versions, and other critical components within the PP module.
• Configure and manage different planning processes such as Consumption-Based (Reorder Point/Min-Max/Forecast-Based) and Demand-Based Planning.

Integration with Other Modules:

• Work closely with the Sales and Distribution (SD) module to ensure seamless integration with the production planning and execution processes.
• Ensure integration between SAP PP and other modules (like MM, WM, and SD) to ensure smooth material flow, production planning, and delivery processes.

Reporting and Custom Enhancements:

• Develop and support custom enhancements, reports, and 3rd Party interfaces to meet specific business requirements.
• Implement changes to existing SAP configurations or create new solutions to optimize planning processes.

Continuous Improvement:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand process needs and suggest enhancements and improvements in SAP PP processes.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to end-users and junior team members on SAP PP functionalities and best practices.

Testing & Documentation:

• Assist with or lead unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for any enhancements, updates, or new implementations.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, custom developments, and process changes.

Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for production issues, ensuring quick resolution of any production or planning discrepancies within SAP PP.
• Work on root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• At lease 1-2 years E2E implementation or Support experience in SAP PP.
• Good understanding of SAP Planning/Master Scheduling Processes & MRP, Bill of Materials and Routing.
• Hands on experience on Master Data, Configuration and transactions related to different planning Process – Consumption Based (Reorder Point/Min-Max/Forecast Based), Demand Based.
• Integration knowledge with other modules such as Sales and Distribution (SD) and Make Processes.
• Hands-on experience on custom enhancements/reports and 3rd Party interfaces is nice to have.
