Procurement Executive (Permanent, West)

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain good relationship with the suppliers.
• Obtain and review supplier's quote as well as overall supply performance.
• Create purchase order and ensure proper documentation are carried out in timely manner.
• Understanding the specific characteristics, varieties, and quality standards of various fresh produce items.
• Improve the quality standard by understanding the quality requirements from customers and source the items accordingly.
• Efficiently manage the logistics and transportation of fresh produce to minimize spoilage and ensure timely delivery.
• Check usage by system and effectively communicate with relevant parties to avoid out-of-stocks or overstocking.
• Conduct cost analysis to identify the most cost-effective sources and logistics solutions through bulk purchase etc.
• Understand the quality control processes to ensure the freshness and safety of procured items.
• Knowledge of industry standards related to food safety and quality.
• Understand the logistics involved in transporting fresh produce, including transit times, costs, and potential risks (e.g. spoilage).

Details:

• 5 days work week (Monday to Friday)
• Open to work on Saturday 2-3 hours if required (will be compensated with Off-in-lieu)
• $3000 to $3900
• Boon Lay

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma or equivalent.
• Good to have related experience in handling procurement of fresh produce (fruits or vegetable) and understanding the process flow.
• Good communication skills and able to work well with staff at all level.
• Able to work in fast-paced environment.
